Dr Chloe Abbott, a medical registrar in NSW, took her own life in January 2017. Now, almost two years later, the pain is still as raw as ever for her older sister, Miss Jessica Abbott. In this interview, Jess shares the story of the challenges Chloe faced as a doctor and the memories of a bright and happier Chloe before her career in Medicine took over her life.
Since Chloe's passing, Jess and her family have been working hard to advocate for doctors' mental health and wellbeing through social media and promoting Crazy Socks for Docs Day (created by Dr Geoff Toogood). You can get in touch with Jess via Twitter: @Jess_C_Abbott
This was an emotional interview as Jess spoke about the cost of saving lives - her sister, Chloe's life.
